Heart Guard

Dear Servant,

Living in the knowledge of the constant presence of my Holy Spirit is so important for many reasons. In particular is the guarding of your heart. Where is the defense for your heart? What is the filter that leads you in truth and protects you from believing lies? What voice cries out when Satan is trying to lead you to react based on lies he has told you?

The Holy Spirit is your “heart guard”. My Spirit is persistently trying to lead you to walk in the truth of my word. He is trying to keep out lies, both the temptation to sin and the lies that lead to despair. He is continually reminding you of my love, provision and hope that rests beyond this world and its system. Surrender to My Heart Guard. Spend time every day listening to the guidance, encouragement and hope he brings. His ability to guard your heart is only limited by your willing participation.

Watching

Dear Servant,

You live in interesting times.  So much of what you do day in and out is observed.  From traffic cameras at every intersection, video monitoring in the store, online tracking of every site you visit and everything you purchase, you are always being watched. The uncomfortable truth for humanity is that I am always watching.  I see everything that happens.  I not only see the behavior, but I also see the intents and thoughts of the heart as well.  Many think that they are getting away with how they treat their fellow man, how they misuse and abuse, lie, cheat and steal.  But they are not getting away with anything.  I have seen it all and there will be a day of reckoning.

More importantly my son, I see everything that you do each day.  Every thought, every action, every deed. When you serve others so that no one else will know, I see what you are doing.  When you nurture sinful thoughts in your heart, I also see what you are doing.  Live your life each day knowing that I am watching.  Live it so that it is pleasing to me.

Dear Servant

Yes, I am the God of all people. I know there are many who do not acknowledge me or even believe I exist, but I am their God too. I made them, provided my earth for them and they will ultimately answer to me someday. Imagine a passenger on a plane who suddenly claims that the pilot does not exist and they are the master of their own fate. Does this claim change the fact they, as well as everyone else, are at the mercy of that pilot to reach their destination?   To simply assume that because they deny me, somehow they will not answer to me is foolishness. It is like a man who ignores the “bridge is out’ sign and thinks that he can drive without consequences. My word teaches that I have placed the knowledge of myself in all mankind and have revealed myself through my creation. Though they deny my existence they have not changed the truth nor have they altered the judgment to come. I am the only God that has ever been or will ever be, and all mankind will stand in judgment before me.

Every knee will bow…

Dear One,

One day every person who has ever lived will acknowledge the sacrifice of my Son. They will bow before Him and confess that He is Supreme, Worthy of All Praise and Sovereign Over All. They will honor His sacrifice. All of humanity, those that scorned His name, used it as a curse and spurned His free gift will pay Him the homage that he deserves, admitting how wrong they were to reject Him.

I know that you acknowledge my Son. I see every time you bow and worship Him. I know that you willingly do all of this from your heart!

Traitor

Dear Servant,

You are a traitor every time you sin. Each time you knowingly march into the enemy’s camp and give away all that is precious in our relationship for the lies of this world and the pleasures of your flesh, you are a traitor. You bow down to what is unholy, you cover self in the filth of this world and turn your back on all I have done for you.

I love traitors. Long ago I foresaw your treachery. I asked my son to take on a mortal life, to live a life surrounded by traitors and yet to remain faithful. I asked him, instead of reward and glory for his loyalty to me, to accept a traitor’s punishment and death. I asked him to do that, so that when you return from your latest foray into the camp of the enemy, I can wash you clean with the sacrifice of my son and restore you to your place as my adopted child.

Speaking Peace

Dear Servant,

I know that you want answers and you want directions. It is not that I do not care about where you go or what choices you make, I care desperately about those things. But today, for the benefit of all of your life I am not speaking in directions, giving “left” and “right” turns, and “do this and that”. Rather, I am speaking peace.
I am speaking peace over your hurts and pains so that even in the midst of the hurt you will rest in me. I am speaking peace over your needs so that in want you may learn my peace and spiritual provisions. I am speaking peace over the heartbreak of loss. It does not erase the grief but it gives strength to continue on even with a heavy heart. I am speaking peace over your failings so that you learn to let those go as the paid for sins they are and embrace my son as savior. I am speaking peace over your life.
